“In May I made the decision to sell my house and move to another town. I looked at how the garden had got out of control partly because of an injury I had and because of the wet weather and inertia and decided that immediate action was needed.I emailed The Farmer’s Daughter and got a very prompt response from them, a quote within a few days and a date for the work to be done. Unfortunately, the rain came down for the scheduled day and the following one, but knowing that the photos were being taken that week, Mary-Clare arranged for the whole crew to come the next day, regardless of weather. Needless to say, it hosed down for the whole morning when they arrived…the work was amazing and they took great care to mess up the lawn as little as possible. They did a fantastic job of clearing up the weeds, cutting back shrubs, pruning fruit trees and generally making the place look so much better it seemed like a new garden. I am delighted with the work they did and highly recommend them – a really nice crew to work for you and they charged a reasonable rate for the work done.

“Our front yard needed a makeover and a good tidy up. Mary-Clare listened, gave great advice that always kept budget and timing in mind, and quickly mobilized her friendly, knowledgeable and hard working team.
We had new borders built, retaining walls repainted, some new lawn laid, and new plants installed. All our garden beds were cleaned, fertilised and refreshed with new mulch. The irrigation system was repaired and moved where necessary, without me having to ask. Existing plants were trimmed as a matter of course. The team knew what to do, and got on with it.
Best of all, while we were away overseas, they kept working and looked after our place as if it was their own.
I’d spoken to other people about our gardens and lawns, and even had them do some work, but none cared as much, or were as responsive as The Farmer’s Daughter team.”
